My dad

          A Farmer and a Dad 

Manure on his boots
Calloused hands 
This is a shout-out 
To my dad 

Money was tight 
Times were tough
Rise early, keep going 
He didn’t need much 

Manual labor 
all his years
who loves the land 
And drives a John Deere 

Planting corn 
baling hay
He wouldn't have it
any other way 

A farmer you will  
always be
Even in the hard moments 
Thank you for loving me.
