Attitude Renewed
Friday's poem and writing group today.
Happy Friday!
During yesterday’s run, I was greeted with the most magnificent sight. It was just what I needed to turn my attitude around and the inspiration for today’s poem.
I think I will title it— attitude renewed. What do you think?
Attitude Renewed My eyes down lost in thought— grumbles at the rocks under my feet when a flash of bluish-gray jumps out at me. I look up, freeze— HOLY! I gasp. Towering over me, two arm lengths away a stunning sight is on display. As soon as my eyes catch on she takes flight— wings wide long legs trail behind. I grin. She soars through the trees toward the water—I watch in awe as she lands gentle on a log. I stare to admire. Thank you blue heron for the kind nudge. Life is a gift, keep my chin up.
