A surprise gift to this mother runner

This mother runner received an amazing surprise yesterday…a scrapbook. Yet not just any scrapbook, a Boston Marathon scrapbook made by my brilliant mother-in-law Cathy. It’s arranged with pictures from the beginning years of training, to running the virtual Boston Marathon, and ends with the pictures of arriving and running the Boston Marathon this year. It’s amazing.

The book is beautiful and perfect. I can’t imagine the time and thought it took to design. I can’t thank her enough for this thoughtful generous gift. She is wonderful.

Her head, eyes lift

Amazed by the thought, time it took
Tears form in her eyes
What a wonderful surprise
