I will admit I don’t want a repeat of 2022. I’m happy to look ahead and start a new year. Maybe you have a similar sentiment.
I wrote many poems in my journal, like this one below, in 2022—Even though…I will.
This kept me grounded and at peace during the circumstances that I had no control over.
Even though 2022 was not what I hoped for and brought many hardships I will look ahead to 2023. I will not be shaken.
Onward and upward to you and yours in 2023!
Even Though Even though my back is out of sync. And my left hip has the niggles. Even though it is raining and the wind is fierce. Even though my mentality is “just make it to the next day.” Even though it is cloudy with no sun in sight. Even though my husband is healing from chemo and not feeling himself. Even though 2022 was full of loss, pain, and uncertainty. I will play. I will sing. I will write. I will be joyful. For what else is better to do?
Our Run to Write Community writing group starts back up this Friday 1/6/23! WOOHOO! For those of you just joining us, we meet every Friday for 30 minutes to write together on zoom. There is no requirement.

Happy New year - I don’t know if things will get better in 2023 for any of us as only G-d knows that, but what I do know is you have proved your family’s resilience love and commitment to each other and that along with faith will see you through it all. Much love to you and your family - I hope its a much much better year!
Very inspirational - many thanks!!!
