My tendency is to overthink. Let me learn everything first, and gain ALL the knowledge before I go for it. When I set out to write my first book, I didn’t know the process, the “how to”—I just knew that I needed to sit down and write.
Keep my bottom in the chair.
Maybe that’s all it takes. Start where you are and gather the knowledge and guidance as you go…find the others to keep you moving forward—just don’t stop.
I wonder how boring it would’ve been if I waited to know everything first. I think I would still be sitting at my computer gathering “how to write, publish, oh, and don’t forget, market a book.” I’m delighted I did it!
May this poem uplift and energize you to lean into the obstacle you are facing even if you don’t know how. Onward my friends!
Thrive Am I lost? Endless paths to explore— Fortunate to be here in the wilderness. Nothing— to hide my curiosity except my narrow mind. The wild offers opportunity to grow, thrive— a discovery, if only I open my mind —to the opposite direction, never traveled before. A gift will be in the obstacle. What am I waiting for?

OMG! I needed this so much today. I'm definitely an overthinker and someone who feels they need to learn, instead of do! Thank you!
Love this poem! Starting your book today!
