Footsteps in the snow
I look out the window it’s still snowing. Thick fluffy snowflakes are falling all around. Yippee! I LOVE running in the snow. Snowflakes make me happy and I love how they surround me as I run.
They dance, twirl, and make me smile as they fall. I love the feeling of the snowflakes as they land on my cheeks and eyelashes. I blink my eyes to see in the dark morning. It is magical. I swing my arms and watch my footing along the white-covered roads. No other footsteps but mine. My own path to travel. White everywhere.
The snow brings silence and stillness. The morning run felt refreshing as the snow-covered my sneakers and slushy grabbed onto my running tights. I turned around and headed back the way I came. Looking down on the path my footsteps are proof. They are still fresh even though the snow is falling. They are not hidden yet. They are still visible to the world. May my footprints bring reassurance to the next person heading out on the path.
Who could use some reassurance today?
