Mom begins to climb

Brindsley will never forget

What if Mom should slip?

Brindsley will never forget that pacing is more than "running with". It is "running for..." and he was not going to "run away" from that responsibility. Congratulations Brindsley. Growing up is challenging but also rewarding and you are more than ready‼️👣‼️

Thank you so much, Clark. This message made my day and Brindsley’s too. When he saw the photos of himself he said, “I look professional.”

He cracks me up.

And he is a "professional "... so responsible. Oh my, they grow up soo fast...😢

They sure do. I was hoping it wasn't true...

Sounds like your kids are as remarkable as their mother!

Julie B. Hughes's avatar

I think they're more remarkable than me for sure! :) Thanks Ruth.

A great portrayal of that stretch of the race. So very cool hearing your account of Brindsley’s supporting your efforts!

It is soooo cool that your family is involved and your son running with you. I am so often by my self, and I always think it would be cool to pace someone, but honestly I have never been part of that experience, so have no clue of what it really means. He has that gift at such a young age, and to have your children woven into such a big endeavor, damn....

Good morning Wendi,

I’m so grateful my family was all in for this! They brought the enthusiasm and loved every minute of it. Having Brindsley with me for those 10 miles really helped and he crushed it! I think it would be cool to pace someone as well. If I’m out your way, I’ll run with you!

Thanks again Wendi.
