Happy To Notice My shadow came out to play. She caught up with me on the trail. Arms swing in rhythm, legs propel us forward— I am happy to notice. The sun changes— my body takes shape in front of me as we sit on a rock. Notebook on my lap, pen in hand. Space to be. I am happy to notice. Looking out over the trees she stood tall, ahead of me. I lift my arms in praise— what a glorious day. Wonder and miracles all around. I am happy to notice.

Wonderful, Julie! I’ve just had the gorgeous walk I’d promised myself earlier in the week - today it is NOT blowing a gale - and because of the glorious sunshine I even took a snap with my shadow in it! How lovely to come back and read your poem all about that. 😃😃😃
