Lean In
I love long runs. There is usually a plan for distance or time but Saturday was different. Felicia and I decided on a hilly loop and we had no idea how long it would take us or how many miles.
It was glorious!
The weather was perfect and the roads were dry. About an hour into the run it started to snow, YIPPEE! The snowflakes were falling on our cheeks and eyelashes. We leaned into the hills and powered up them as we chatted about life. It’s in these moments I’m happy to be a runner and feel like every challenge that comes up can be sorted out on the road.
Almost two hours later we arrived back at our cars parked at the local coffee shop, Skytop. The perfect end to our run- coffee and peanut butter energy balls.
Have a Merry Day!
Poem of the Day:
Lean In
I tackle the hill Lean in, legs and arms obey I am a runner Dynamic body and mind I flow on the road and grin
