I had fun creating this poem on a four-mile run.
The wind was powerful that day. I’ll be honest I wasn’t looking forward to it yet I changed my attitude and showed up. It made all the difference. The wind just wants to play. It was just what I needed.
Another reminder that I’m not in control…accept what is and keep going. You have what it takes.
Poem of the Day:
Four miles Easy, peasy I say. The wind builds and Shouts... I want to play! She is strong— nudging me side to side I roll my eyes It’s NOT what I had in mind. Yet the warm breeze feels like an old friend Loyal to the end. I begin my climb a powerful push from behind just at the right time Okay Wind— I will play But in return would you please give me some of your strength today? —She did and I'm grateful.
Love this!
When weather gets warm, our class eats outside under the pavilion. I tell the kids to hang onto their napkins, because the Wind wants to snatch them and make them fly!
Such a cute and fun poem. The wind has a mind of its own!
