Good morning run to write community,
I would like to share two opportunities to meet up—
Today is our writing group from 11-11:30 am (EST) on zoom. Click the link below to write together.
If you are local please come to Salt City Market in downtown Syracuse, NY for an author event on Sunday 10/30 from 11-2 pm. We will have books on hand and I would love to connect with you if you are free.
If I had one poem to summarize my memoir, My Road: A Runner’s Journey Through Persistent Pain to Healing, Dream (yesterday’s poem) would be it. I hope it left you wondering…does the dream come true? If you would like a signed copy of the book to find out let me know. I would be happy to mail you one.
Title? (any ideas let me know)
Focused on all my problems— a cue to get outside. Greeted by maple leaves on the trail—not just five or ten— hundreds, as big as my sneaker. The crisp, cool air fills my lungs. Autumn is back, my mind likes the sound of that. At once my body feels at ease—arms swing, breath deepens, legs power down the path— Focus changes. I get to run with maple— feel the breeze on my skin, appreciation fills my soul. I am well. Joy returns to my mind, body, and soul.
Wow, that's a BIG leaf! And wonderful words, as always. 😀 See you for a virtual cuppa in a little while! 🫖
Fall- my favorite time for running in PA
