I’ve had the opportunity to read three great picture books with my children this month: Cobweb Christmas, Red & Lulu, and Apple Tree Christmas. If you haven’t read them yet, I highly recommend each, no matter your age. The stories are fantastic, and the illustrations are beautiful.
After we read Cobweb Christmas together, I gave my children a writing prompt: Imagine you’re the donkey who helps Tante pick out her tree. What do you see, hear, smell, feel, or taste?
They had so much fun with it. I thought it would be wonderful to have them read their stories aloud to share their creativity with you and give them practice with their speaking skills.
