The good thing about being an endurance runner is the ability to sustain hardship for a prolonged period—there are no shortcuts—keep putting one foot in front of the other is my mantra.
This mantra has served me well not only in running but in life—especially during hard seasons, like my family and I are experiencing right now. Running has taught me to embrace the uncomfortable, “to embrace the suck” as Brene Brown says…it won’t last forever.
This current life challenge is temporary. The light is just up ahead.
I’m praying the light gets a lot brighter for us. I pray that for you too.
Keep putting one foot in front of the other no matter how small a step. I see you.
THE RUN POET Outdoor runs empower. Sneakers meet the road— her pen to ignite words. Run-on sentences form with each stride. Nature calms her mind. Space to think. Words spark. Her process to shape poems comes from motion AND her heart.
Beautiful….the light is definitely brighter today👍🙏🏼😘🥰
Love "Embrace the suck!"
