Running with the moon
on Wednesday
Frost covers the ground as I breathe in the cold, crisp air. It is spring, but winter persists. I pull my hat down a little more over my ears and turn on my headlamp. I pat the pocket of my running vest—yup, I got the gels.
The moon is right in front of me as I huff and puff up the country road. I am glad I noticed. As I crest the top of the hill, I smile. I marvel at the white glow as I inhale and exhale with more ease.
How could I not be grateful?
How could I not be at peace running with the moon?
I am.
What is peaceful in your life?
Run to Write Community sessions:
Online: Each Monday at 11 am (EST). We’ll gather in silent solidarity to work on our creative projects, starting with a writing topic to warm up. No experience is necessary.
You’re invited! Use the link below each Monday to enter our Zoom room, and feel free to invite a friend. See you soon!
Let’s write & grow together.
P.S. April 27, I will be traveling back from MD, so I won’t be able to host that Monday. Just a heads up.
In-person: Move. Write. Connect. sessions
Next session starts May 6.

NASA need not fly you there
Your view from Earth works
Space exploration has its champions but we need more champions of Mother Earth. Earth needs us far more than the Moon and beyond. We must turn our outward exploration inward and heal ourselves and our planet. Then and only then will peace reign.
