I was delighted my son Brindsley joined me for my morning run. Once we hit the road his feet and mouth were running the entire time! I couldn’t stop smiling.
He talked about the Lego sets he wants to create, the ideas he has, and how he is going to make his own Lego dictionary. He went from one topic to the next while keeping a great pace.
He then inquired, “Mom, are you looking forward to Easter?” What a sweet question to ask me. I wanted to stop and hug him but I didn’t, we kept running.
I am looking forward to Easter.
He shared with me why he is too. I love that he wants to run— no pressure from me, no nagging, he just loves it. My wish is this never changes.
I notice I’m a better listener when I run.
Brindsley talked for the entire 30 minutes and I listened. I learned a lot about my son yesterday morning. I’m grateful.
What are you grateful for today?
No Interruption My legs move at a pace to keep my mouth quiet My son alongside me His feet hit the road running— his voice follows nothing to stop him Imagination runs free What a joy to listen— only listen and run

Beautiful. Wise Moms know when to stay quiet and run for certain.
Today, I’m grateful for the Amazon package casually tossed over my gate and narrowly avoiding a puddle. It was YOUR BOOK!!!
