Delaney was up so early yesterday morning. I have no idea why.
It’s interesting how my brain immediately goes to problem-solving mode and wants to know why my 7-year-old daughter is awake.
There has to be a reason, right?
I ruminated about it for over 30 minutes in bed and couldn’t get back to sleep. Of course, it was my fault she was up at 3:31 a.m.
I have to chuckle at this. There was no reason, she was just up.
I finally got her back to bed and decided the day will begin. Getting out for a run will help me clear my head and change my attitude.
What attitude will you have today? You get to decide.
Poem of the Day:
3:31 a.m. eyes looking at me She can’t sleep Please go back to sleep Cuddles and stuff animals That should do it Back in bed… 4:01 a.m…4:02 a.m… Wide awake mind racing Annoyed, irritated, bothered I can’t sleep Get up, get going Let the day begin Lace-up my sneakers Pull-on hat and gloves Slushing winter run
This brought back a few memories too. Love your poems!!
Sometimes my girls did that. And sometimes we just went downstairs and had milk and cookies! We crawled back in bed without even brushing our teeth. They are in their 30s now. I am not sorry at all that I chose to do that because they are precious naughty memories now.
