What do you see?

Autumn is coming...

I see 
Goldenrod 
brighten the road  
as I run. 
I see Asters and milkweed 
Monarchs— 
enjoying the sun. 
I see cornfields for miles
stalks taller than me. 
I see summer 
in the rearview mirror.
Change in the trees. 
Birch turning green to yellow 
Maple leaves greeting 
the ground.
I hear geese  
flying V overhead 
Autumn is coming
They said.
