under a blanket
of white— 
Winter persists.
Sunshine pours in
as I clicky-clack on
the keys. 
Beauty is here. 

Fresh flowers 
Bunch together
in a vase. 
I look up from my screen 
I inhale the scent 
and smile— 
Mood lifter.
Yellows, greens,
and purples 
Color my soul 
Beauty is here.
