Why do you move? Take the time to recognize when you move how you feel, how your body feels, and how you show up. This self-awareness is key and may be just what you need to keep going. I have found even a five minute walk does wonders!
Our brain’s default is to look for the negative. We need to train our brains to focus on the wins no matter how small we think they are. I’m trying…is a WIN. I got out for a five-minute walk…is a WIN. I got out of bed and showered…is a WIN.
I encourage you to write down the wins that you are aware of from this week. Then share one below with us in the comments.
Let’s celebrate the wins together. Have a great weekend.
Poem of the Day:
Why do I Run?
Why do I run? It’s no mystery It’s great for my health history My heart stronger My lungs working better I get up each morning like a go-getter My nerves get a wiggle And that makes me giggle Even my brain changes too It’s true! Muscles gain My bones thicker No wonder why I want to run quicker. Some say I’m crazy I know the truth This is why I run What about you?
A win this week for me: I went into a local boutique shop in Manlius, NY, and talked with the owner for a while. I'm working on stepping outside my comfort zone (being an introvert, I need to be more deliberate with getting out and meeting others) It was great to meet someone new and smile/laugh together.
