Have you ever hallucinated in an ultra before? I was pacing a friend for a while on a 100 miler once, and around mile 70 or so she was certain we had just passed a mailbox. In the middle of the desert.
No! I've never run past 50 miles so that hasn't happened yet. Oh my gosh, what a story about your friend. I met a runner at this recent trail race who ran 100 miles. She told me the hallucinations happened to her after the race. Wild! Has this ever happened to you Amie?
That posted too fast, before I had completed my comment! What I want to say Julie is that this is great life advice too. And I love that you carry those 50 names. You are an inspiration.
Hi Margaret, It sure is. I'm noticing the more I write about running the more I see how it relates to life. Thank you so much for being here and reading. Those 50 names helped me so much through this race. I was so glad I had each name to think on when it was tough. Have an amazing Thursday. :)
"there's something special about running and struggling together as a group" - what a great line and realization! I love reading about your cross-country-like endeavor, the bag pipes must have been amazing. I can just imagine! Can't wait to read more!
Good morning Mary B. :) Thank you for reading along and yes the bagpipes was such an amazing surprise. I hope your day is off to a great start. Oh, did you decide on a home?
You're welcome for reading, always a treat, and I imagine you might remember those bagpipes for some time! As far as the home goes, we're still on the hunt! We've come close, put in an offer that wasn't accepted (yet), and are in a good place in the process. We feel zero pressure and know God always guides our common sense when we trust in Him!

"cloudy, cool weather" Runner weather
Yes! My favorite run weather. :) Thanks Richard for being here.
I kept my eyes fixed on the trail directly ahead instead of measuring the distance still to climb.”

So great to hear! It's good you don't feel pressure or in an urgent need to find something.
