Jules your poem and courage remind me of am architect friend who was always pushing the boundaries of creativity which required so much courage. He lived by this mantra which he often repeated: "if you are not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space." Words hard to live by but when one does, such discoveries.
Ah, that crazy courage! Wonderful, wonderful stuff!
As for me.... well, let's just say that my close-horizonned comfort zone is rather too comfy to want to ever step outside it. It would do me some good, though. You've really made me think about this with this post, Julie - thank you for your encouragement!
Aha! Sneakers, shorts, and t-shirt colors!! Can't wait to complete the drawing. Public speaking is my biggest discomfort, too, Julie. The worst time was when I was working with my alma mater's music department, traveling with the band and orchestra for out of state/county performances. I had to find lodging for all the folks involved (we all stayed with families in the town we visited), and give the opening prayer in an auditorium filled to the brim. Oh my. The first time did not go well.
😊 You're welcome, and as far as the public speaking story goes, I thought I was going to throw up - I can revisit that feeling in a second, it was so profound in the moment!
Thank you so much for reading and being here with us. You're so wonderful to say this. Thank you for sharing your heart and soul with us each week. I resonate with so much of what you share. Happy running!
How was the long run last weekend? Cheering you on.
Life is to be lived
In relationship with all
Where it all begins....

Good morning Clark,
Another haiku full of wisdom. Thank you.
Your friend sounds like a great person to hang out with. What a courageous mantra!
OOOOOOOH!!!!!!! I've only just this second noticed that 'encouragement' includes the word 'courage'! How had I never, ever seen that before?!
enCOURAGEment
I learn something new every single day!
Isn't that so cool that courage is within the word. Love it. Have a fabulous weekend. xox

Oh gosh! I can totally resonate with that feeling. Isn't it wild!
Yes!
The more you speak in public, the easier it gets. I promise! Keep going.
Thank you Tracy! You're such a natural at speaking. I truly appreciate your encouragement and wisdom.
Loved this, Julie. Thank you for being a North Star to so many, including me. xo
