My dad was a WWII veteran and a POW too! So thankful he made it home with the help of some Italian families. He taught me a lot and I will always remember him. My brother was a Vietnam veteran also. Have always been thankful for all of our veterans!!
Oh I'm so happy he did too! My grandpa was also in WWII and POW. Maybe they knew each other. I hope you had a great day and your garden is growing. :) We just planted a small one yesterday!
And you do your part with you daily poetic inspirational reminders that to be “alive” is a sacred gift not to be tampered with but to use for the betterment of All. Thank you for that Julia...♥️🙏🏻♥️
Amen Julia and blessings & eternal gratitude to all who have served, suffered and gave their lives so we and our descendants might live in a more peaceful world...I wonder if the world eternally set aside a day each month to remember the impossible pain of war so that its constant reminder just might begin to move the minute hand of the “doomsday” clock backwards... A day in which each family sincerely and fervently prayed that their children would never have to die on the battlefield....
Gosh, such powerful words, Julie. Fabulous work. 😊

Lovely, Julie!
Thank you Amie. I hope you had a relaxing day.
Thank you, I love your poem! I remember all the parades we went to to see Becky marching in the band!
