A stunning poem - both the words themselves and the shape on the page. I see a C for community - and a beautiful semicircle of shared white space.

You're awesome, Julie, and so is 'Ballbuster'. Such a terrific, inspiring, thought-provoking read - I have loved every page. I am absolutely thrilled that it is out in the world. 🙌

I think most of us can relate to what you are saying somehow. The cancer journey is a difficult slog for all involved - having a solid community of support certainly helps and eventually strengthens everyone. Best of luck with the launch of the book...

To answer literally, I saw the profile of a bear’s head! The intersection of the ends of each line with darkness forms a left side profile, nose at ”And.” Out of hibernation.

Not so literally, the sighting of a Great Blue Heron, whether on the hunt for frog or fish, or taking flight with its coarse calls, reminds me of our connections with all of creation. The keen vision of the Bald Eagle reminds me of yours - in writing your newest book. Discernment. Choosing what to focus on in your “hunt” for the right words and the right phrasing. Always in flight for the good of your family.

Best wishes for the official launch of A REAL BALLBUSTER today. Your experiences shared therein will benefit many others. Hurrah!

Oh a bear's head! I see it now too. Thank you so much Gary for sharing. I also see a wing in the white space.

Thank you for your encouraging and uplifting message Gary. "Choosing what to focus on" exactly...and thank goodness we have a choice. :) Thanks again.
