I am guessing that an experienced marathoner like you told the pain to go away and you conquered the marathon or at least got to the starting line. I completely understand that feeling. It seems the day before any race I have some mysterious ailment that wasn't there until the day before the race. I think that the majority of non competitive runners, like me, have something in the back of their mind triggering that fight or flight response as race day approaches regardless of how well we trained. I remember New York and walking Friday before the race thinking why is my knee hurting so bad I am not going to be able to this. looking forward to the follow up.
I appreciate you sharing this Howard. OH yes, something was creating my nervous system to wig out! LOL I haven't had this pain experience in awhile and was definitely not happy—BUT (and I will share more tomorrow) I had my action plan in place and luckily didn't freak out (well I did for maybe a few minutes) Thank you for reading
Seriously, crazy Aunt Phoebe! Thank you so much for reading Aransas. Yes I did learn something and look forward to sharing in hopes it sparks a conversation.
So we have a mystery writing today....waiting for the "who done it" chapter with baited breath.....

Waiting with baited breath, but why does Aunt Phoebe like race days so much? Argh.
No matter how race day went I’m absolutely certain you learned something powerful and I can’t wait to learn it too!
