Thanks for the example you set. For me I find when trying extra hard to protect someone, I’m likely to have the opposite effect. Extra radar screens lacking straps to hold them steady. Not considering the value, if any, of stirring up their minds. Not thinking through the effect on their well being.

Illustrating the very reason God made moms. And the Gold Stars marking their high wire acts.

Moms want to protect

Their children forevermore

They always know best...

Jules, you beautifully describe the “art” of parenting. Each time you fully show up and are lovingly present you are wearing a Superhero cape. Sometimes the “truth serum” is the right choice. Moms know best when to use it, how to use it and what dosage. Good doctors listen carefully to a Mom’s intuition. They know you know your children best❗️♥️❗️

Good morning Clark,

My children are great teachers. I was happy during this time I had the ability to place my focus on taking care of them and Jeff.

Thank you for reading and commenting. It's one of the highlights of my day. :)

As a teacher, I am also learning how important it is to allow children to feel their feelings. Even when the feelings are very loud!!

Thanks for writing this, Julie! I so agree with everything you said. I protected my children when they were little from so many things. Their father never cared! It was hard, but I made it!!
