Oh this is a good one for me. At 71, I still walk the same 30 minutes a day, but I don't often get as far as I used to. So I say "I'm just meandering today. " I think of Dory the 🐟 fish, and say, "Just keep moving, just keep moving..." Pushing Arthur 🫸 away from me!
I like your Four words! May I borrow them sometimes?
'Go at your pace' really resonates with me, Julie. It's hard to remember sometimes, right? I'm very much an all-or-nothing person - I'm either going full-tilt at whatever new thing of the moment has grabbed my attention (and, in the case of my inevitably short-lived running career, getting injured literally every time I left the house in training shoes), or I'm doing nothing due to fear of failure! I yearn for a happy medium, honestly!
Dad has always told me - and still tells me these days, too, for which I'm very grateful - 'Plough your own furrow'. I take that with me always.
It sure is and now I have it written down to make it more sticky in my brain! LOL Oh I do love what your Dad said to you. How wonderful and a great expression to have on our minds. Thank you so much for sharing.
Yes Julia. Be still. Be here. Be now. Easier said than done. But oh so important. You may enjoy my latest reading: Gravity & Grace. How to awaken your subtle body and the healing power of yoga. Peter Sterois. Beautifully written and heart shifting….
Oh thank you for this! It helps to have something short, sweet, and smart to say back to those inner voices. I’ve got one whispering in my ear today....
As you know better than most, when running, one has a unique pace and to ignore that pace, one never feels “whole”. When we deny our bio individuality to fit into the insane culture we All live in is problematic at best. “Being yourself”, finding your “own” pace is the most important thing one can do when the external and internal environment is perhaps sending us different messages. The Socratic epigram: Know Thyself has never been more important....Thanks Julia for helping us slow down or speed up and “find our own pace”.....!
Clark, thank you for sharing. Indeed! There is so much confusion. It breaks my heart. I wonder how many folks today are struggling to ask the question "Who am I?"
You have me wondering the same...and I wonder how many of us are comfortable sitting with ourselves with no distractions. Be still (the last few years have taught me this)

Yes please do Claudette! Try on the words and see how it makes you feel. Just keep moving is a good one too. You're doing a great job!

Wonderful Julie, definitely words to live each day by. Have a great, peaceful day.
Thank you Beth. I wish the same for you today.
A wonderful realization! Absolutely the way to go. Love it.
Thank you mom. I feel so much lighter too! :)
No. An actual book.
Oh thank you for this recommendation! I love to read. :) I will look this one up.

Thank you Clark, is this on Substack?

Good morning Julie, I'm so happy this resonated with you. Thank you.

I wonder how many are so busy producing and consuming that they never think of asking that all important question...
You have me wondering the same...and I wonder how many of us are comfortable sitting with ourselves with no distractions. Be still (the last few years have taught me this)
I am better at pacing myself now. It has taken me a while to realize I can only do so much. Your words certainly help me a lot!
You're not alone Faith. It's taken me awhile too. Cheers— to going at our own pace.
So good. Here’s to pacing. We don’t have to do it all. At least not in one day.
Yes, that's right. Pace it, don't race it. :) LOL
Go at your pace. Gold.
Thank you!
You're welcome Linda! I'm happy it resonated. It's now a sticky note by my computer. :)
