You are soo welcome Delaney. But please know that my words pale in comparison to what your Mom and Dad actually "DO". As you know, it's the "doing" that counts. You are blessed with very wise parents‼️
Thank you so much Mary B! I was so happy she wanted to run this one as a team. We had fun and she wants to run another one. Woohoo! Thank you for being here.
Hooray for running another one! Team M&D (my daughter's name starts with an M, so she and I are M&M, mom and Mal. You could be mom and Delaney - M&D). ❤️
Good morning, Julie, Mal enjoys them both but doesn’t have a chance to do either as much as she would like. When she was younger, we would ride together around town and swim together, too. We have so many great memories of both!
Oh Julie, Delaney, this is such a beautiful story! Well done at the race, both of you - and of course the purple lady!
I remember my second-ever parkrun - also 5k - where I didn't know anyone at all. I noticed part-way through that a chap just in front of me was going at around my pace, and even that our feet were striking the ground at exactly the same time. I ran at his shoulder for the last 3k, and thanked him at the end for guiding me through what had been a really big deal for me: running in company for only the second time. He was absolutely delightful, and told me that he was happy to have helped me.
Lovely to see you yesterday - thank you for having me at the Write Along. Great to see Brindsley and Delaney, too! I have to admit that I was arting rather than writing, this time - LOL - and was very glad to be doing it in your company. xxx
I love this story so much! Isn't it wonderful to run with others and push off each other. It was wonderful to see you and happy you could join us and art. :) Way to go Rebecca.
Thanks again and I hope your week is off to a great start. xo Julie
I so enjoyed the account you wrote of the build up to, then participation in the 5K run, Julie B. Delaney demonstrated great skills in how she adjusted to changing circumstances as the race played out. Once again, you as a wise Mom demonstrated life skills you’ve worked for much of your life. Training, determination, realizing the importance of not driving yourself - your physical and mental well being - to the point of exhaustion, and remembering to help make such endeavors pleasant (dare I say fun!) for those you care about. A 5K is not a hill to die on!
The photo of the two of you is a heartwarming sight. May there be many more to come!
Gary, You're so wise! Thank you so much for reading and these kind words. We truly appreciate it and thank you for writing with us today. :) I'm so happy to hear you had a wonderful weekend and Happy belated birthday to Beth.

Finishing 5k
Congrats Delaney and Julie. Finishing what you start is always the best trophy. It never tarnishes‼️👣👌
Thank you so much Clark. What a great thing to say. :)
Finishing what you start Delaney is a special gift you give yourself. Why? Because it never stops giving. Congratulations 🎊
Delaney says "Thank you so much"

Thank you Martin. Yes, we are so grateful for the purple lady and she did amazing. I thanked her afterwards but failed to get her name.
