You're so welcome Kym! And it makes me sad some folks don't like them in their yard and choose to spray those awful chemicals to get rid of them? GRR. They are little sunshines on the ground. :)
Dandelions are my favorite, ever since I can remember. I used to pick handfuls for my mom when I was little. They make me smile and feel warm and fuzzy every time I see them.
Your photo of the Dandelion bloom brought back memories from my youth. In NW Pennsylvania their faces dotted our surrounding yard. My mom would locate candidates and snip off some leaves with her kitchen scissors. Then, to accompany dinner - ham steak, venison chops - she would simmer them briefly in a skillet with a bit of water then serve topped with a mix of milk (or evaporated milk), vinegar, and a pinch of white sugar.
I noticed recently that the Whole Foods store near us had bunches of them in their assortment of loose leaf greens! Thanks for the memories, Julie!

I love this Claudette!! You're the best at poetry. :) Thank you.
Thanks for the Dandelion info Julie! I’ve shared this with our landscaping committee

So thrilled to see this Julie - the dandelions are flourishing wonderfully here too.

Love this acknowledgment of the tiny dandelion. They are the earliest food of bees and an optimistic sign of spring. xo
