Moving Meditation When I lace up my sneakers possibility is en route lime canvas of greens embraces me my feet praise the trail each stride breathtaking, forgiving Water winks a "V" shape glides could it be? my legs surge ahead she paces me a delight for the early risers a master builder, her lodge in view across the bank I marvel at her skills Each stick, twig, mud, and rock where it needs to be mile 15 I keep going What do I see? a great blue heron waits, only later will I marvel at his wingspan as he soars above the water a mighty reflection Small yellowish figures hover under their mother's wing father hisses no time to admire feet stride on as I run with the sky
