Mud of Life

Poem out loud
2

Poem of the Day:

    Mud of Life

Bound up the trail of life
Peer around the bend
Leap over rocks
and roots
Your legs in pursuit

Zig zag the turns
Mud puddles appear
How deep is the bottom?
Will I get sucked in?
My sneakers will get wet!
I’m not sure I’m ready yet

Questions spin
Yet you must keep your pace
No time to stop
keep on moving
Even if you face-plant
don’t say you can’t

You’re still in the race
One big adventure
Time to embrace
the mud and mess of life
It’s what brings us to
the other side
