Whenever I feel stuck in a moment, I always default to spending time in nature - however much it takes for me to get my perspective back (30-60 minutes usually does the trick for me).
I don't understand the 'modern' behavior of people I often see in nature - the ones who remain attached to their phones entering texts or carrying on with a video call. That feels like a major insult to nature, and the healing powers nature can provide...
Good morning Jack, I wonder the same thing. I find myself feeling bad for what that person is missing out on. It's sad how attached and addicting the phone can be. I'm grateful I leave it at home, I don't want to be bothered when I'm outdoors.
It's hard for me to understand as well. Thank you for sharing, glad to know I'm not alone in that feeling. Enjoy this marvelous day.
It will be great to see the kids return. Some as campers, some are CIT age, and some are now counselors and (OMG) Parents!!!
I am sad, tho, that our Nature Trail will be closed until the powers that be will allow us to use it. They don't say we can't use it, but it is not safe because of ticks. And because of the children, we are not allowed to use insecticide.
“Nature
to always
find the way”
I’ve been praying on that exact sentiment this morning!

Good morning Gail,
I'm so happy to get your note here. Nature has our backs. :)

Should be everyone's birthright
Can you imagine?
I agree. What a gift for everyone.
Very beautiful poem! Thank you!
Good morning Al, Thank you so much for reading and being here with me. I hope you had a great 4th and your week is off to a great start.
The John Muir quote at the end is spot on...

Real bummer :(
Good morning Claudette! Happy Summer camp day! :)
Oh dang, that's a real bummer about the Nature Trail. I know ticks are all over now. I do tick checks every time we come in from the woods.
