It will be such a gift to re-read these pages when you tackle your next challenge. I love hearing the voice in your head and as others have said, the rubber ball runner in front of you. Love your list of items you carry -- I'm making notes!
My hope is something I write will help runners like you! Yay! The rubber ball runner...seriously it was wild how fast he got up...I was super impressed and if I fall, I hope to respond that way. HA!
Good morning Ruth! Thank you so much for reading. I was writing like mad in my notebook after the race. LOL. I didn't want to forget anything (which I'm sure I did...but happy to recall much of it)

He was probably so full of adrenaline he didn't even feel it. Maybe that night the pain came rushing (I hope not). I hope that was his only fall!
Awww, wow, fantastic work by rubber-ball-guy! Long-distance trail runners are AWESOME!!! (that means you, too, Julie!) 😁
HA! I was so amazed at his speed of recovery! It was really cool to be around so many amazing and resilent runners.
Really enjoying this little series, Julie! Chuckling as I picture the guy in front of you bouncing up like a rubber ball 😅
Thank you so much Ken for reading along. I was shocked at how fast that runner bounced back up! I was happy about it too...he was okay.
Thank you for being here with us.
I love hearing this recollection of your JFK50 miler! Looking forward to the next few pages!😄
Thank you so much, Mom!! I'm having a lot of fun recalling the day. I'm working on my showing vs telling.
Thankful for you and reading about this exciting feat!
Hi Amie, It's so wonderful to get your message. Thank you. I've been thinking of you. Sending you long distance hugs.
Awww, I have to wait til Monday! I hope you don't trip!!!
