Your poem brought to mind Emily Dickinson’s “Hope Is The Thing With Feathers.” How lovely there’s a Blue Jay in your poem. In “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” we also see these words:

“At the end of the storm

There’s a golden sky

And the sweet silver song of a lark.”

May your day be hopeful and fulfilling!

Hope is one of those things that is always there...if we remember to look for it and hold onto it. But it slips away quickly, like a breeze touching a leaf.

Love that acronym. I have recently created this acronym given the reality of Climate Change... H.O.P.E. Heal our planet everywhere. I send out monthly emails to Grandparents who want to leave a positive climate legacy for their descendants. I call it “Grand H.O.P.E.

I am always drawn in by the ways "hope" is defined... One of my favorites is H.O.P.E., Hold On Pain Ends.

Recently learned that

Blue jays harass owls because

See them as a threat

A week or so ago the muses noted in a love letter that we’ve encountered a great horned on our marsh walks. Each time, blue jays have been fluttering around it.

Random, I know.

Lovely poem.

Let us feed our hope!

I would LOVE to see an owl. A few years back I did get a peek of one after an early morning run...but since then no sighting...though I do hear one or two. I did not know that blue jays...thank you for the fun fact!

I fell in love with owls when I read the Guardians of Ga’Hoole series with my son. So good! 😁
