No way?! What do you use to paint the snow with? I will need to pick your brain for ideas. I may be leading a class of 3 year olds very soon. :)

Just look at what you’ve done. Of course I didn’t ask you to write a post of this nature. But write you did and in the process provided some needed encouragement! Thank you ever so much.

Good morning Gary,

I'm so happy this provided you some encouragement today. Thank you so much for being here. We are not alone and I hope this community is a space to remind us of of that. Take good care and hope you are safe as the storms roll in.

Thanks Julie. So far, safe. We’ve been under watches and warnings since daybreak. Tornadoes have touched down farther west of us. Still in the Florida panhandle. West of Beth’s family home, in which her dad still resides. Going forward high wind warnings, with thunderstorms, will persist a couple more hours. At 4:00 pm, full sun for the rest of the day!

Pema Chödrön wrote Comfortable With Uncertainty. A well written book on Buddhist beliefs and practices. Well suited to today as well!

I hope the strong winds behave themselves around your home town. Don’t tell your children about flying in a Wing Suit just yet. That doesn’t really require strong wind. More a willingness to jump off a high spot into thin air, with ground often thousands of feet below. Some fabulous YouTube videos on that subject! At my age, or any age accompanied by reason, that’s best left to eagles.

I'm glad to hear all is well and you and yours are safe. The winds just started picking up here.

I will keep the flying wing suit info for another time. LOL! Oh my goodness I had no idea of such daring activity. Definitely leave that for the eagles as well. :)

Thank you for the message

Begins with Courage

To trust another human

Intuition helps...

Of all the virtues, many believe Courage is the first and foremost. I don’t believe anyone is born with courage but gains it through life experiences. Is this a Catch-22? You first need courage to step into life? I don’t think so. After all, we come into this strange world totally dependent on our nuclear family. And it is within this nucleus of unconditional love, we are taught to get back up from every toddling fall. Perhaps this is where we learn courage and trust. To be blessed with a loving, nuclear family is certainly a gift. ( I always wonder why “parenting classes “ aren’t a requirement for newlyweds intending to raise a child). Oh my. I digress. Apologies everyone.

Clark,

I appreciate you sharing and love your ideas and wisdom. There is a lot here I can relate to and so many questions on this topic. I'm beginning to see my courage grows with doing, getting myself out there. How can I gain courage by doing the same thing? I'm not sure I can.

Thank you so much...loving family and friends is a blessing.

Looks like you answered your own question Jules…! Recall when you were Captain of your cross country team and had to pick off the runners ahead of you, one at a time, to help your team. Your courage came from deep within and you always did your best, whether you succeeded or not. Perhaps you think of one thing this year you are fearful of and slowly but irrevocably move forward to achieve it. If not for you, then perhaps for Jeff or the children. One thing, each year.

HA! I guess I did. :)

I need to post your words by my computer to remind myself as I take on a new project. Thank you! I love this..."One thing, each year."

Last word. Promise. As I look back on my 76 years, I wish I had taken my own advice. Although life seems “short” as you are involved in family & career, it is really long . For those who do not procrastinate, like you, there is more than sufficient time to accomplish all you need or want. Just keep your intention clear and show up for practice everyday. You will surprise your “future” self at all you have become…
