Yes, “outside my door”

Mother Nature beckons us

T.V. has us hooked…

Thanks Jules for looking to Nature for inspiration and well being. I hesitate to paint with too broad of a brush, but modern civilization is addicted to way more than drugs. A walk or run through the woods can be a powerful antidote. Ignoring Mother Nature’s call is no different than ignoring our Mom’s plea to “eat your vegetables “. We ignore both Mothers at our own peril. Keep waking us up Jules❗️👣❗️

This is a beautiful and powerful, Clark. Nature truly is a powerful antidote and I hope others join in to see, hear, smell all that Mother Nature has to offer us. What a magnificent gift. I'm grateful where I live...we have amazing state parks, trails, and woods.

Thank you so much for being here.

God bless the caregivers! You couldn't be there, and they could and did, even when there was the threat of covid. They were brave for us.

Did Jeff ever share his feelings about your inability to be with him?

I’m curious because I only had a friend join me once. Otherwise, there was something magical for me in being there alone. It allowed me to fully engage with the experience and my caregivers.

Also... love that you have restated and recapped RTW in today’s letter. 👍🏻

Good morning Gail,

I don't recall asking him outright, I do remember saying to him I felt bad I couldn't come in and he agreed. I wonder if he had a similar thinking as you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts here. I appreciate it.

Have a Wacky Wednesday! :)

Another amazing read from this compelling memoir, Julie.

These words - "My expectations would not be met..." - have brought a tear to my eye. Your feeling of powerlessness comes through so strongly. Just wow. 😘

I’m glad to read your success in sending Run To Write out into the world. Connection is what I hear in your words.

Compassion is a second element. With Jeff and your desire to be present during his infusions. To be of comfort. To be present with him.

A community of movers and shakers... and carers.
