I believe “holy” is the color of all our souls. Hearing and listening and acting on that “still, small voice” is the challenge. Hopefully, we all know people who are in alignment with their Soul…a deep wellspring of courage, compassion and love! Thanks Julia for your kindness and may you and your loved ones have a blessed week. I also love Jeff’s photo. Made me widen my smile…
Thank you Clark. I'm nodding my head with what you wrote. Listening to that small whisper is certainly a challenge for me. Thank you so much for pointing this out. I see this courage, compassion, and love here in this community. Thank you. We need each other.
At Christmas, my family and I tried something new. We didn’t exchange gifts. It seems that we are all adults with particular tastes and none of us enjoy shopping when we don’t know what we’re shopping for. 🤷♀️
So… we had an Amazon gift card that my husband received from his employer. We divided it by 3 and shopped… for ourselves! 😂
One of my picks was The C.S. Lewis Signature Classics. It’s meaty… and scratching an itch I didn’t even know I had. A successful stretch!
I truly enjoy my trips to the cancer center. Glad to be seeing Dr. S today!
I love that idea! :) I haven't read that book yet. Thank you for sharing and will add to my list. I'm so happy for you. :) Did you give Dr. S your book Poise?
Not directly. I left a number of copies on a day he was not there. One was supposed to find its way to him. I’ll bring some copies with me today. Trying to sort out how to ask him if he got one without seeming like I want him to offer comment. I don’t want to put him on the spot.
I’m curious… Has a book ever picked you? Some of my most influential reads have been books that called, “Pick me!” From library or bookstore shelves. 🤩
That makes a lot of sense. Hmm...I'm sure you will think of something. Maybe just having it with you he will notice and say something.
You know Gail, I love that you asked this. Several times this has happened in both the library and bookstore. I recall one particular day I went to the library with no book in mind but left there with 3 with exactly that feeling... these books wanted me to read them. :)
Thank you for reading and I would love to know what you come up with if you want to share later. I will share a piece on Wednesday how this question was so helpful last year.
I realized that my soul was feeling red due to anxiety but by the end of a 3-mile short run, I felt the color lighten up to a warming orange hue as the light (or yellow) from running adjusted the darker color to something brighter. Isn't that what occurs when we run?
Thank you so much for sharing Tracy. YES! Running is a great way to work through those feelings. I'm so happy to hear you are feeling better and see the change in yourself with a 3 mile run. Bravo! :)
Thanks Julie for your encouragement to be more self aware. Mauve, with touches of sky blue and gold filigree. Not so much what I see but what I feel. Some might label my scrutinizing writers on SubStack “doom scrolling.” I prefer “hope scrolling.” For reasons beyond my control I’ve recently
found some accomplished writers that also believe animals are kindred spirits. Soulmates. Their collective posture is “Don’t eat your friends!” To me that inspires hope!
I like Jeff’s picture. Snow on the ground and in the evergreens is visually transformative. I bet being there as family felt perfect! May that perfection permeate this and every day.
I'm so happy this was encouraging and "hope scrolling" is what I'm after. Thank you for this idea of animals as kindred spirits. What a beautiful belief and truly inspiring.
It was perfect to all be together in the woods. It made my day. Thank you so much.
Color my Soul “holy”
It is the still, small voice that…
Calls out in the dark…
Beautiful. I love this so much. Thank you Clark for being here and have an amazing Monday.

My soul is laughing a broad spectrum of colors.

I’m reading a book that seems perfectly timed to my level of understanding and exploration. 😁
Also... I have a follow-up with my oncologist today. It will be the first time we see each other without masks!
Good morning Gail! I'm curious what book you are reading?
I'm thinking of you today as you head to the oncologist. What a joy it will be to see each other without a mask!

Ahhhh, 'evergreen forever' - what a wonderful sentiment, Julie!
A little while ago a friend was talking to her three-year-old daughter about colours. 'My favourite colour is rainbow', she said. 😍😍😍
Thank you Rebecca. That's so sweet...truly all the colors side by side are beautiful. Hugs to you across the pond. :)
Hugs back, Julie! Thanks!
What an interesting question, Julie. I will have to think about that some more!
Good morning Tracy,

My soul is like the sunshine! God helped me through another day! Your poems also lift me up!!! Love you!!
Oh I love this Faith! Sunshine soul to light the way for others. Thank you.
Love you! xox
Hope and happiness too!
Hi Claudette!
Yes to hope and happiness today. Thank you for sharing and enjoy this snow with your kiddos.
