Snow Yoga A circle in the woods Tadasana— Is how we begin Our feet planted on the snowpack ground We stand firm and tall like the pines who invited us to their wild Kingdom of peace, silence, and healing. We move into Tree pose Our arms raised towards a canvas of blue We lift our eyes To feel the sunshine To see the mighty pines— Supporting us Teaching us In our practice of love, connection, and gratitude We bow.
I experienced Snow Yoga for the first time yesterday. Thank you Tracy for inviting me! It was fun to be with friends and make new ones. Yoga in the woods is right up my alley. If you get the opportunity to try it, I recommend it.
I hope you had a beautiful weekend. Please feel free to share in the comments one thing you tried this weekend.
Take good care,
Julie
new thing last weekend
practiced setting worries down
walked under sun's rays
The image of the tall pines stretching upward, toward the blue canvas (to borrow your phrase) is uplifting. No pun intended.
Zeroing in on the extra day this year due to Leap Year was my activity. I pondered all the possibilities. “I wonder, I wonder, kept churning in my brain.
The Universe answered, “Be here now.”
“May this day be merry and bright
And may all your Snow Yoga be right.”
