Oh Julie, I'm sure going to 'trust the process'! Fantastic!
This has been such a wonderful series of posts - I've enjoyed every step of your race, and even though I've been running it while sitting down at a screen I'm so grateful that you've taken your readers the whole way with you.
Really looking forward to the writing session later!
Fabulous story Jules. Especially because it is non -fiction. The right coach with the right experience, knowledge and insight is invaluable in a culture that has forgotten how to care for itself. We have lost our tool boxes. Indeed an ounce of prevention...‼️👣‼️
I couldn't agree more, Clark. I'm beyond grateful for my coach and his wisdom. He's been a great mentor and guide. Having so many tools and agency over our bodies is a gift! I wonder, too, have we lost our way? There is no quick fix or magic pill...it takes effort and time. That is a hard sell for many.
Our convenience and addictive culture is tough to break. I bet your physician husband gets plenty frustrated with patients who just can't stay on track. We need leaders who don't eat McDonalds and walk golf courses instead of riding in golf carts. Perhaps we need youngsters to be able to pass mandatory fitness tests in every grade or they don't graduate. Physical conditioning must be as highly valued as academic achievement. Something must turn this around...
Oh yes, unfortunately, every night there is some frustration he needs to get off his chest. It is sad and I feel his pain. Is the goal to live long but be in and out of the hospital? It's tough...we need a change of heart.
I like your thinking about the fitness tests...we've lost our way. Yet I have hope we will get back on track but it will be people like you and me. I won't sit around and wait for our government to fix this. I can start with my family...
Thank you so much Gail for reading along. I'm so grateful I have a great coach who reassured me. (It's easy to forget!) We all need someone like this in our corner.
I want to hug you and your hard-working right arm. You're so wise to keep moving. If I can be a resource to you please let me know. (You know where I live. stop in.) I will lift you in prayer...may the Lord give you His strength, endurance, and healing. Amen.
“With the right guidance, patience, curiosity, and consistent work, what seems like a roadblock might be a detour to becoming stronger.” Seems like a life lesson. Thanks for taking us along on this fascinating journey to the finish line, Julie!
Good morning Ruth, You're right...I think so too. I don't want to forget. Thank you so much for reading along and being here. I hope you and yours are safe and well.
Juile, you are fortunate to have such an amazing coach. There is a beautiful couplet in Urdu language by a timeless poet, Mirza Ghalib and the essence is that when something troubles you a great deal and you keep facing it in a flow, it turns into a piece of cake. 'Keep moving' mantra worked wonders for you, buddy.

I'll be right here with you Rebecca!! GO!GO!GO!
Thank you so much for being here and enjoying the run! I look forward to seeing you soon. I appreciate your thoughtful comments and sharing.

Unfortunately not enough parents like us otherwise we wouldn't be in this health crisis..
Our bodies speak in mysterious ways!
Way to trust your coach Julie. 🏃🏽♀️
Beautiful photo composition! 😍

Your coach sounds top notch with great advice about maintaining movement! Such a great series, well done.
Yes, I’m so lucky to have such a wise and knowledgable coach! If you’re ever in the market I highly recommend him! :)
❤️
So encouraging. My right arm is hurting. Mean old Arthr. I know to keep moving, or it will just get way worse.
Good morning Claudette,
I want to hug you and your hard-working right arm. You're so wise to keep moving. If I can be a resource to you please let me know. (You know where I live. stop in.) I will lift you in prayer...may the Lord give you His strength, endurance, and healing. Amen.
Thank you, Julie! Prayers are powerful! Arthr moves around in my body. He was in my legs, and when he moved to the arm, it was actually a relief!
Oh, Claudette! I'm happy to hear this is actually a relief. Sending hugs and prayers your way.
