I’ve an itch to present... perform. What exactly, is unclear. 😂

Nice postcard!!! Now you get to send it off into the world. I mailed a stack over the weekend. 😁

Hi Gail, I could definitely see you up on stage performing...reading your stories? poems?

Thank you, excited to send this off to someone. I love that you shared the idea here. It's such a treat to receive drawings/notes in the mail. Thank you again.

Tap dancing! I recently bought a pair of tap shoes at a thrift store that fit me like a glove, like they were meant for me.

Hi Howard, or....should I say, Piano man...

"Sing us a song, you're the piano man

Sing us a song tonight

Well, we're all in the mood for a melody

And you've got us feelin' alright"...(One of my fav Billy Joel songs)

Great to hear from you and I hope your recovery is going well.

Lol, I have often joked I am not going to learn the piano, just that one song. A hit at any party 😄🍷🎹

Hi Julie,

There’s a book in me waiting to escape. Tieing the life changes I experienced through running with performance in other areas of my life (and maybe there’s learning to play a left-handed guitar in there too!)

Expand full comment

Hi Mark,

Wonderful!! I do hope you get your book out into the world. If I can be a resource to you please let me know. We need stories like yours. Thank you for sharing. I would also love to play the guitar...around a campfire. LOL

I think I would try to sing in public. I have thought about it many times. Learning, and working at it. Thank you for this question!

Linda, You would be great to see and hear! Keep me posted on your first public appearance. :) You are so gifted.

I’m afraid my talents have limitations -- perhaps only my own. 😉

Often we ourselves are the ones placing humongous boulders in our path. With our eyes kept open, we can at least see them before we “splat” into them. As our jumping skills and leg strength improve, up and over we go. Without even a running start. 😊

I agree with Gary...we can be our worst critics, can't we? Cheering you on Linda...maybe you would be up for singing the national anthem—"O Canada" at a running event?

Seventh inning stretch

Just a couple innings left

To hit a “grand slam”

At 76, I hope to have a couple decades left to check off a bucket list that includes running “forever”, dancing with my wife at our grandchildren’s weddings, holding a great-grand child lovingly close, and seeing a world working together to solve the Climate Crisis and achieve World Peace. Now that would be a “Grand Slam”. Amen❗️

A bucket list? More like a heart list. Bravo!

Clark , Thank you for sharing all you want to try and keep working towards. "Grand slam" is a great metaphor for all we can do together. Thank you

Around The World In Eighty Days! The cast of the 1956 movie, based on Jules Verne’s book of the same name, is an amazing group of stars from that era. As I search for the key to my Time Machine, I visualize myself as ballast...

I’ve followed an amazing woman from Kyiv, Ukraine, since the horrid “special operation” began. Yaroslava Antipina, #strategywoman She has often featured her coffee mugs and those from cafes she frequents. With 129,000+ followers, many of them also post images of their own coffee mugs and teacups. Her mission statement most of the time is seeking beauty. Both in Kyiv and on week end trips to somewhat nearby towns. While art museums are a frequent aim, cafes are not neglected. 😁

Since I am trying every single sport once in my lifetime, I have a long list to share here! Next up is snow yoga, surfing, skydiving, and more in 2024! If anyone wants any ideas on sports they could try, check out www.tracyhigginbotham.com and ask away! Flying trapeze was a cool one!

WOW! You're amazing Tracy and BRAVE! Flying trapeze! Snow yoga?! I'm curious about this one. Do you wear snowpants? Do you roll out a yoga mat? So many questions. :) Thank you for sharing and being here.

I know fun, right? Come along with me and maybe Felicia to snow yoga in Rochester. You snowshoe out to a spot in the pines and then do yoga on your snowshoes. I can keep you informed when I find out the date which is in February typically! We did Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga with the instructor in August. Fun stuff.

I have already tried different things when I was younger. Now I have no desire to try anything new. As long as I have a book to read I am fine where I am, or a jigsaw puzzle to do.
