Trees are miracles

Asking little, giving All

So much to teach us...

The Amazon rainforest is rightly called the "lungs of the Earth". We two legged animals are destroying it to make grazing room for four legged animals to feed the world hamburgers.

We gave up our addiction to cigarettes to save our lungs. Why can't we give up our addiction to Fast Food to save Civilization? We have the power to destroy the greed of politicians and corporations. Stop buying what they are selling and we will curb our meat addiction, heal our bodies and our planet. Difficult? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

Thanks Julie. Sharon enjoyed "meeting" you‼️ Sorry I get a bit political for your beautiful "space". I will try to be more temperate in the future. I know I am preaching to the "choir" but can't help myself when I think of our kids and grandchildren.

I loved talking to Sharon and meeting her! She is wonderful and I love all the information she shared with me. Thank you so much. No need to apologize Clark. I hope it helps to write it out and I'm glad this space is allowing you to do that. You definitely aren't alone in what you speak.

RAINBOWS

Rainbows arc across the sky

Displaying colors bright

A pot of gold I’ve never found

The wavelengths are just right

For me I enjoy and greatful for all the amazing texture patterns and patterns in the things of nature. In art scool we went to the science lab and used microscopes to create drawings. Even today the texture and patterns of nature always inspire ideas for my pots.

Thank you for the beautiful poem!

The sound of crickets in the predawn and the evening. That sound = the very best summer camp memories, summer at the beach, summer evenings and outdoor softball, swimming in the dark.

The morning birdsong, the way the morning dew rests and sparkles on the leaves (like little diamonds), the trunks of the trees- rough, smooth, broad, narrow, twisted, split- they are full of character, but mostly for me, it's the way the sunlight seemingly dances through the trees and across the ground. That's what I love and appreciate about nature.

I’m grateful for nature’s patience and resilience.

Humans keep trying to break Mother Earth – to pound her into submitting to our eternal need for all things unnecessary. Maybe one day, humans will succeed, but until then, I stand with nature’s patience and resilience...unrelenting, like nature’s waves or the wind that moves the seeds of life from one place to another.
