Let's Go What I’m noticing as I roll out of bed My ankles and heels ache I hobble to the bathroom and laugh I must look ridiculous the outcome of running 20 miles on the trail I’ll take it. The thrill of flying over rocks and roots… The smell of pine needles energize me each stride The mighty evergreens line the path Mesmerizing… My beloved black toenails look up at me I applaud their resilience I adore their toughness Thank you for hanging in there Thank you for going the distance JFK 50 is on the horizon Let's Go!
What’s your goal for 2024? Please share in the comments and let’s encourage each other as we move forward. Folks we’re in June—Let’s go!
My goal: “Run for life”
6.2 miles each Sunday
Walk/run rest of week
I am healthiest with 60 minutes of walking/ running each day. I sleep better, I think better, I feel better, I keep my promises to myself & others, I am more loving and patient. At 77, exercise is my medicine and plants are my fuel and family and friends are my joy. Climate “work” will be my focus until my last breath.
Ah, the black toenails! I was terrified when I got my first one - and then I was proud of it! *giggles*
My goal is to get going on a big project - I'm at last in a position to be tackling it!
