I love reading your poems every day. They always bring back memories of when I could wander through the woods when I was younger. Thank you Julie!! Love you!!
Hi Faith, It's so great to get your message and I'm so happy this poem brought back some great memories. I hope your day is off to a great start. The colors are really popping now! :)
Thanks Julia for reminding us what’s important. Friendship and adventure. And zero carbon footprint. If we all lived like that we could leave our children a sustainable world.
This trail suggests an old road. One used by loggers? Or a narrow gauge railroad? The perceived straightness suggests the latter. The starkness of the monochrome image, seen with the color image, is powerful.
Wow Gary! Impressive you noticed that from the photos. Yes, it was an old railway. So much history to explore here and I'm excited to go back. We stopped short because we weren't sure if we could travel on someone's private drive but we've heard that it does pass through and behind homes...but keep on going. :)
Treasures, yes! I used to canoe/camp frequently after moving to Florida. State DOT provided individual county maps showing abandoned railways, old school houses, former bridges and dams. That so enhanced my trips.
Ii love how each encounter with nature is unique and magical!
How true that is. A great adventure awaits...
I hope your morning is off to a great start. xox

Wow. Double bonus!
Winning lottery of life...
New trail, new friend!

We sure hit the jackpot finding this gem! We can't wait to run there again and explore further down the trail. Thank you Clark.

Thank you so much Aransas. How's your recovery from Berlin?
You’re so thoughtful! I’m feeling great. Back to more lifting than running for now, but feeling so good and healthy and happy!
