   Flip a Coin

The sun
flipped a coin
landed on my face
with a smile
My heart sings
The upbeat tune
shifts my feet
Once sluggish
Now leap
Glitter, sparkle
That is all I see
Oh!
And the bluejay
And the chickadee
A chorus strong
As I pump my arms
and hum along
I hear the stream
Rippling a tune
Who wouldn’t want
to join in—
Nature’s solitude
