This was what was suggested to me and it has helped:
The idea, as I understand it, is you take parts of yourself, such as an “inner judge,” and you imagine them as a person - imagine what they look like, give them a name… and then you sit down and say hi! Why do you say the things you say? What are you trying to accomplish?? What do you want? Often times they’re actually trying to protect some other, more vulnerable part of you, just doing it in an ineffective/painful manner. And oftentimes you can negotiate something of a truce. At the very least, it could be an interesting writing prompt!
Beth! I'm so glad it made you laugh. :) AND I love that you have given your inner judge a name too—Juanita. I hope your inner coach can push her aside today.
I am SO going to name my inner judge! I'd never even THOUGHT of this idea....!!!!!! 😍

Wow, Julie, that's such a clever idea - thank you so much for this!
You're welcome! Maybe that would be a good writing prompt to offer everyone on Friday?
Thanks for the chuckle this morning Julie. Mine is named Juanita, and she's pretty grumpy and feisty most of the time.

Your two-sentence depiction of Aunt Phoebe, perfectly personifies those relentless judgments we all carry. Well done.
Hi Amie, Thank you for reading. It's a daily practice to keep that inner judge in check...isn't it?! Cheers to managing our minds! :)
Our kiddos loved 😍 the snow yesterday! Enough snow to swim in!
Yes! Delaney and Brindsley had a blast yesterday. I have two snow angels in my backyard. :)
