It's taken a lifetime so far, but I have finally embraced my constant buddy, introvert. I no longer feel guilty saying "no" to people that I just don't want to spend time with. I have chosen my circle or clan, who embrace who I am, and help me feel comfortable just being the quiet person in the room. Thanks for this poem today Julie! Quiet is an amazing book.

It was about 10 years ago when I even heard the word introvert. When I dug deeper and realized that I was an introvert, so many things made sense. I embrace my style by understanding why I feel as I do. It was so liberating to be able to tell my friends I was out of gas for the weekend, so go and have a beer for me. And it was even more liberating that they know and how I move in the world.

Danielle Gardner wrote the book Quiet Marketing, and writes a calm and minimal approach to marketing for us introverts. Maybe check her out!
