This poem was created during a two-hour run on Saturday after the 10k race. It was hard. Aunt Phoebe (my inner judge) was whining about the rain and my stomach discomfort. I was happy to have a mantra to silence her. YAY!
I’m curious what mantra, do you have on repeat? Feel free to share with us in the comments below.
Thank you for being here,
Julie
Waves it comes in waves a mantra to say stinging in the hip an ache in the foot it comes in waves, of course, it would. foot feels great hip does too it comes in waves, weird but true. rain steady headwind strong it comes in waves nothing is wrong. stomach cramps, mind begins to doubt. it comes in waves, will curiosity win out? what do you hear? what do you see? it comes in waves, this is temporary. inhale, exhale, commit to the ride. it comes in waves, yet still, I rise.
