The strength of community, in this case your family, is evidenced once again. The proof lies in hearing no utilization of wheedling or brow beating (both community destroyers) to enlist the participation of your children. Brava!
I'm so happy you noticed this Gary. Thank you. As I'm writing, I'm noticing this is one of the themes...community over individualism. Thank you for reading and commenting.
I laughed that he wrote that too! My children crack me up! I'm so grateful for them. They kept the light bright during last year's dark and uncertain season.
Thank you Rebecca for reading and being here. I appreciate you.
I love how you found something tangible to do for yourselves in the face of these final miles. They are healthier than some activities in the face of grief. Again teaching your kids to find the celebration in even the darkest moments. What an inspiring mom you are! Of course I love the running and distance metaphors too. There are so many powerful parallels and you use them beautifully @juliebhughes
Thank you Linda! You're so kind. I do hope my children remember these memories more than the other ones during last year. Thank you for reading and commenting. It really does keep me going.
I have no words how this made me feel. Your kids are awesome and it is all because of their parents!! Keeping Jeff in prayers every day and for you too!! Hugs! Love you all!!
Thank you I just got over a month long one.... turned into upper respiratory infection. Meds from that brought a yeast infection which monistat did not fix, so more meds from Wellnow which brought diarrhea, just now clearing up.

Oh, this is such beautiful writing - and the card is incredible! What delicious words and colours.
(I love that Brindsley labelled his side of the card 'Brindsley's side'. That's lovely!)
This post has made me glow from the inside to think about what power there is in a family which works as a team. You're all brilliant.
