Look at you Jules. You battled the "Resistance " we all feel when we dream but fail to act. Soon you will toeing the line and doing what seems impossible to most humans. But you summoned the courage to say Yes and become who you really are...
And let's change "become" to becoming" as we are all "verbs" except most of us don't realize it. You do and "that" is one of your "growing"gifts. The JFK is just the continuation of a life that is doing, inspiring and gracing all those who know you and the ripple effects are profound. Often I doubt the power of "one". No more... Thank you Jules‼️
Hello Julie, you ran into my life through my wonderful friend Margaret O’Brien. You donned a cape when I could not and put my name on it. You are now running your first mile for me. You are remarkable and it means so much to think that there is someone all the way over in America who is showing me such kindness. The very best of luck to you and I wish you and your family the very best for the future. What a role model!
Hi Nollaig! I'm so happy to receive your message here. My heart goes out to you and your family. I'm dedicating mile 1 and mile 47 to you. Thank you for allowing me to run in your honor. Sending you hugs and strength from America. xox Julie
I will soon find out for myself! LOL. There are so many others who have run 100 MILES! It's amazing and inspiring. It's wonderful to hear from you Claudette. Enjoy today and thank you.
Ok!!!! Okay!! Ill go make those pots now like I was talking about!!! I was procrastinating!! I was wrong!! I have the skill and ability to do so!!!! Thank you! If you can run 50 miles I could make some measly pots!!! I have nothing to cry or complain about!!!
Brava, Julie! It’s lovely that you’re running miles in the name of other survivors. Here’s a name of a brave friend who survived breast cancer, then formed a nonprofit called Chemocessories to help other chemo patients feel better about themselves during a hard time by providing accessory sets. Her name is Iris Lee Knell, and she’s a local hero. The organization has so far provided 20,000 sets consisting of jewelry, scarves and turbans. Here’s the website: https://chemocessories.org/news/cancer-compassion-and-chemocessories-a-dream-realized/
Wow Ruth! I just checked out Iris's website. She's amazing and an inspiration. I would love to dedicate a mile to her. Thank you for reading and sharing your local hero with us.
I am most confident that you will cover the distance with elegance, confidence and panache as you are running for a noble cause. I wish you luck, Julie. Do wonders. Super proud of you. God bless you! 😎🤠
I love it when we take on challenges, prepare for them - I think we come mentally tougher. My nephew has been battling leukemia for about 6 years and recently had a bone marrow transplant. He is doing much better.
Good morning Jenn, I'm so happy to hear your nephew is doing much better. It's not easy. Let me know if you would like me to dedicate mile 41 to him? Thank you for being here.
