Yes, please laugh out loud

Must be your best audience

If not you, then who?❗️

Love the poem. And yes, I am my best audience. I get a “kick” out of myself when few others do. I recall my Dad just laughing out loud after he said something he thought was humorous. Now I do the same. Genetics or copycat? Doesn’t matter because the laugh is what counts. Have a great day Jules.

I'm right there with you! Sometimes I have no idea what I'm laughing about but who cares. :) Thank you Clark...so happy to know you do the same and your Dad. Enjoy your Thursday. Thankful for you.

This made me think of a Jimmy Hendricks line “scuse me while I kiss the sky!” Loved your poem.

I remember “a soft crunch.” Under boots mostly. Heard in long ago land. A rare occurrence these days in north Florida. I miss the sound.

The closest I can conjure is the sound from walking in soft beach sand. Not the flat, rigid whacked-flat-by-waves sand where waves break. Not the sand of dunes. An in between zone that appears “firm” (and crunches in sand voices), and provides scant firmness for the next step. Like partially set concrete?

I liked your writing today, Julie. It seems my Cuisinart chopper brain pathways misinterpreted your post as a prompt! I’ll appear promptly tomorrow…

Good morning Gary. I'm imagining the soft sound of sand under my toes. :) Thank you for being here and hope you can join us again to write.

"misinterpreted your post as a prompt!" I am not following? Sorry...lack of coffee or blonde moment? LOL!

Hi Julie, My remark about “misinterpreted” was an observation of my own launching into writing in a kinda free verse mode. Not in a more straightforward manner devoid of efforts to seem creative. Coffee? One half cup so far. Perhaps more would have helped me. Perhaps a grey moment on my part? :-)
