I try to be mindful of the "triggers" that cause my negative self talk, such as blank pages in my journal, or open days in my training log. I recently started a evening guided mediation, and one of the mantras is "I have done all I can today, and that is enough". When that anxiety begins to build, I breathe and repeat those words to myself.

Thank you so much for this Beth! I'm going to borrow your mantra— "I have done all I can today, and that is enough." This is such a loving and kind thing to say...what I need. My self-compassion sometimes is no where to be found. Thanks again.

When the noise in my head is too great, I journal. About anything. Failing that, I escape with a good book (or--full disclosure--an edgy foreign drama on Netflix).
